We had built the playlist for the pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner, and he very much followed that our wishes. We really appreciated that because music is a huge part of our relationship. He was also very responsive over email and phone. He had a great personality on the day and was the perfect blend of an MC who was communicative but not overly on top of the mic. During the dance party portion of the evening, he rightfully threw in choices of his own that we hadn't thought of and I am so glad he did. He brought life to the party and we have gotten compliments since our wedding night about how much fun everyone had and how perfect the dance floor was. “We absolutely loved working with The Hook Club. Our amazing planner, Greenhouse Events, recommended THC, and we were sold immediately after meeting with Dan. He is super relaxed, nice, and so knowledgable. Dan and THC team made planning super easy for us. They took time to hear about our hopes and helped recommend different band sizes for us. We hadn’t heard of a DJ band before, but loved the idea of some live music with the versatility to play all sorts of music, but our venue wasn’t very big and we also didn’t want to break the bank and hire a huge band. We chose the 4 piece DJ band with singer, sax, drums, and DJ. We knew we LOVED the sax, so we also had the sax play for cocktail hour (shout out to Elijah, who was amazing), and it was one of the best parts of the night. For planning music, they sent out a very detailed and thorough spreadsheet with more songs than one could imagine, and we could rate ones we liked the most, choose ones we definitely wanted or didn't, and choose specific songs for important moments. We met a couple times to review music choices as well. One of our biggest fears with a DJ was that they'd talk too much and be a little annoying, but Dan did a great job as MC, and was very low-key like we asked but announced important moments clearly. Dan and all the musicians had such great energy and got everyone on the dance floor. Our vocalist, Christen, was also amazing — her voice was spectacular, and she was such an amazing performer and got everyone involved in the music and dancing. So many people told us how much they loved the music and the energy, and had never heard of a DJ band but thought it was an amazing concept and the addition of live music over tracks added extra excitement and fun. THC also helped out with lighting (uplights and dance lights), and worked with our fantastic planner and the venue to help us decide the best setup. Ultimately, we loved working with THC. Their DJ-band setup is unique and adds so much variety to your music while allowing for some of the energy that comes from live performers. We danced the night away and had an absolute blast. 100% would recommend THC to anyone!”

“I highly recommend Sound Originals for wedding photography based on the communication, organization, value, and most importantly, the final product. Gabriella was always very responsive and clear in the messages sent via the online portal when we had questions. I was a bit hesitant to book this vendor because I didn’t know anyone who’d used the company before, but I’m glad I did. We were lucky to get paired with Jared as our photographer and immediately felt comfortable with him on our virtual planning call. On the day of our wedding he was prompt and had plenty of ideas ready to go, but he was also very open to any ideas we had. He never made us feel rushed at all as you could tell he wanted to take his time to get the shots right. He was patient when necessary, efficient when necessary and always reminded us to let him know if any poses didn’t feel comfortable or natural. We didn’t have a second shooter but you wouldn’t be able to tell by looking at our photos as Jared managed to get great variety in the angles during the ceremony and reception. The photos are beautiful and we are looking forward to framing a few. We got the sneak peak within 2 weeks and the full photo gallery not too long after that. The only critique I have is that the florist we used was incorrectly tagged on the sneak peak instagram post, and wasn’t corrected even though I reached out via direct message and comment. The flowers were beautiful & the correct florist deserved the credit. Overall, I would definitely work with Sound Originals and Jared in particular again in the future.”

“From my first call with JJ Essen, I knew his team was a good fit. He was prompt, communicative, and organized. He assigned Scott as our DJ & Javier as our photobooth attendant. Scott was equally communicative & organized. He set up multiple calls throughout the process, and was super flexible with us when we had to change our venue & timeline 3 weeks before the wedding. “Our experience working with Jamie and Ceremony DJs can be best summed up by the fact that multiple people told us after the ceremony they wanted to book him for their wedding and at least one got his business card! I can't imagine a better DJ, truly. When we first met with Jamie, he said he could make people dance to anything and would keep people on the dance floor all night, and he WAS NOT LYING. The whole night, the dance floor was PACKED even though it was rainy/muddy/cold/wet. Jamie took us on a journey that covered all of the bases of the music we love to hear and dance to, seamlessly and magically (?) integrating genres with the best mixes, it was pure wizardry and really captured who we were. We as a couple care a lot about music and wanted music that represented who we were and what we like to listen to, and he did not disappoint! So much prep work went into this, he took patience and time to try to understand our tastes and vibe, and it was so cool to have the wedding played on vinyl- basically, Jamie just "got it" from start to finish and we had the best time! Our wedding also got delayed due to rain and a road closure and he was such a good sport, staying late to keep us all dancing for a whole other hour- so fun! Also, when our ceremony musician was stuck in traffic due to the storm, he was so prepared and had our prelude/processional music downloaded so we could still walk down the aisle to the songs we'd chosen. Overall, such a cool, kind, funny guy who was professional and prepared in every way and honest just takes time to meet and know his clients, and clearly just loves to share his love of music. I would book him for everything if I could. BOOK THIS DJ. You will NOT regret it!”

“Misha is incredible! Wedding florals can be so daunting, but from our first Zoom meeting, all of my worries were gone. It was clear Misha genuinely enjoys making a personal connection with her clients. She checked in periodically and was available whenever we had questions. I knew Misha was going to create something beautiful, but beautiful is an UNDERSTATEMENT. Our wedding florals were stunning. I told Misha I wanted bright and fun, but that was really it. As a result of our conversations, I knew I could trust her vision and creativity. She blew us away! As soon as I saw them, my jaw dropped. She created 2 floral columns for the ceremony space and lined the aisle with the most magnificent florals. And when I say florals, I mean florals. Her designs are teeming with blooms! Everything down to the bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages was full of substance. She also created the most amazing couch installation for one of our lounge areas that was the backdrop for one of our favorite pictures. Every guest at our wedding made a comment about the florals being exquisite, and we could not agree more. Misha was then able to repurpose all of the florals from the ceremony space to the reception space as centerpieces for the tables and decoration for the sweetheart table. I will never get over how absolutely perfect the florals were on our wedding day. Misha has a gift, and anyone getting married should 100 percent work with her as their florist.”

The quality of their work was great - the florals looked beautiful, especially from a distance, and they were competitively priced. However, their shipping turnaround time was awful, with the flowers due back just 2 days after the wedding. This is more of a business than a vendor, so don't expect a lot of personalized care. While I ordered more florals than I ended up needing, it was worth it to have the full, lush look I was going for on our special day.”
